Draco Piscis is an animated video that is part of a wider series of installation works which explore the fluidity of human nature and its relationship to other beings. Drawing from research into scientific illustrations by the naturalist Ulisse Aldrovandi (1522), the video shows the tail of an unknown sea creature flipping its tail through the sea. For Agnes, the ocean has incredible potential as a resource and is also as a place of cohabitation. In a socio-cultural context of fluidity, transformation and catastrophe, becoming something more-than-human may now be indispensable. For the artist, finding new solutions for adaptation in a world in constant decline is a priority.

Para Agnes’ el océano tiene un potencial increíble como recurso y también como lugar de cohabitación. En un contexto sociocultural de fluidez, transformación y catástrofe, convertirse en algo más que humano puede resultar ahora indispensable. Para la artista, encontrar nuevas soluciones de adaptación en un mundo en constante declive es una prioridad.
